The heel of Aphrodite's hand struck out at the mirror in front of her, spinning it away from her and off the vanity. It landed with an unsatisfyingly muffled thud on the plush carpet in her room. She sunk her face into her hands, her shoulders shaking as she tried to compose herself.

It had been awful. The humiliation and the hurt burned in her throat and chest when she even tried to think about what had happened that evening.

What use was it being beautiful when you couldn't even use it to keep what you needed, when you couldn't even use it to make anyone love you?

I just really like the way she looks in the picture on the left; she's beautiful :)

And on the right; the emotion portrayed in it. It really just speaks volumes about what she's feeling.

Thank you so much! Volks seems to sneak into my life at certain intervals all the time. I have my eye on a few more Volks atm. :D
